Shoesday Tuesday

There is something about a white shoe that feels so crisp and refreshing. While white shoes during the winter months are typically shied away from, I have been seeing them being incorporated into looks more and more lately, as they add a clean finish and can make the outfit appear lighter than when paired with a dark shoe that weighs the rest of the look down. This week's shoe is a white ankle strap sandal with an on-trend lucite heel that will make this white shoe appear even lighter that before, as it appears like an illusion. This style of heel is one that I feel always makes a perfect pairing with a pair of looser-fitted jeans or trousers--it is not too dressy that it seems out of place, and not too casual that your outfit comes across as just another "weekend-wear" look.

How would you wear this week's shoe?

As a college student, finding a solid place to sit and work can sometimes be difficult. Whether the library is too crowded, the common area is too loud, or your dorm room too cramped, there never seems to be the ideal space. While usually I prefer to work on large tables instead of confined desks, the photograph above is one that could definitely transfer my working habits over to the desk side. The white Parsons desk is a favorite among many for its sleek and modern design, and the combination of the glossy white desk and clear lucite chair always feels fresh and inviting. With the fabric board behind ready for pinnings of inspiration or latest projects, and with little touches like a chevron pencil holder, flowers, and a lilac ampersand, this is definitely an ideal space for the creative student.

Do you have a preferable space for doing work?
